HAFIZABAD: A case under section 302/324/148/148 PPC has been registered against DSP Pindi Bhattian Nasir Nawaz, three SHOs and three constables on the charge of allegedly firing on the mob of Thathi Behlolpur who had blocked the Sargodha road resulting in to the death of Abu Sufyan and injuries to four others, on the orders of DPO Hafizabad.
The activists of TLYR to protest against the barbaric attitude of the police force and the participants of Dharna in Faizabad Rawalpindi and blocked the Lahore-Sargodha road following clash between the police when the participants refused to unblock the road, the police allegedly opened firing as a result of which Abu Sufyan died on-the-spot while four others Jahangir, Zahoor Ahmad, Sarfraz Ahmad and Manzoor Ahmad were seriously injured.
Nimaz-i-Janaza of Abu Safyan was offered in Hafizabad in which hundreds of citizens participated. Later, his dead body was taken to his native village where Nimaz-i-Janaza was also offered and laid to rest in his native village Thathi Behlolpur in the presence of hundreds of mourners. The activists of TLYR demanded immediate arrest of the DSP, three SHOs and all the constables involved in the incident.
