Five killed as jeep plunges into ravine in Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD: At least five passengers, including four women, were killed when a passenger vehicle plunged into a ravine near Bakot, an eastern area of Abbottabad district.

According to reports, a passenger jeep bound for Nambal was traveling near Bakot Leeran when the driver lost control at a turn and the vehicle overturned and fell into a deep ravine.

Local people are engaged in rescue operations to remove the bodies and injured from the ravine.

Being a remote and remote area, there are difficulties in relief operations, rescue sources said.
