KARACHI (NNI): Police have held five suspects in a raid in a locality adjoining Khalid Bin Waleed Road on Sunday evening, hours after a student was shot dead in Sea View area over an argument following a road accident.
Reportedly, police have seized two vehicles that were suspected of being used in the clash by five alleged perpetrators. The two vehicles seized bearing registration numbers i.e. KT-9478 and BC-9868
The 18-year-old named Zafir, student with Defence Housing Authority (DHA) College rammed into a motorbike while driving a car in Sea View area and entered a hit-and-run situation however, the boy was chased by the killers in a four-wheel drive and fatally opened fire at.
Another boy sitting in the passenger seat, purported as late Zafir s friend was wounded in the attack.
Home minister Sohail Anwar Siyal took notice of the incident and directed Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of South to file a report.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for South Javed Akbar Riaz had earlier said that a search operation was launched and teams were dispatched to locate and nab the attackers. He had further said that authorities were examining CCTV footages to identify the attackers.
