PESHAWAR: The security forces have killed five terrorists in Hayatabad area of Peshawar.
According to ISPR, the operation against terrorists was jointly conducted by Pak Army and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police.
The dead bodies of the terrorists have been recovered and efforts are underway to know their identify.
ASI Qamar Alam embraced Shahadat, an officer and a soldier got injured during the operation.
Earlier, Namaz-e-Janaza of police official Qamar Alam was offered in Peshawar who embraced martyrdom during clash with terrorists in Hayatabad last night.
The Namaz-e-Janaza was attended by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan, Corps Commander Peshawar Lt. General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood and IGP Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khan.
