FM Qureshi rejects any grouping in PTI

MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has rejected the rumors that there are many groups within the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

This he said while talking to media on Friday in Multan, he appreciated the performance and services of Asad Umar and declared him as front man of the PTI.

Regarding the removal of Asad Umar, FM Qureshi said that he doesn’t know why Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan took decision and adding that whoever replaces Asad Umar will have to face challenges.

Meanwhile, the minister said that Pakistan is ready to hold talks with the new elected government in India for regional peace. Pakistan initiated the opening of Kartarpur corridor and also released the Indian pilot without imposing any condition, he continued.

To a question about terrorism, he said some elements want to destabilize the country through subversive activities but we will foil their nefarious designs.

Earlier on Thursday, following the change in portfolios of ministers, Asad Umar quitted as the finance minister of Pakistan.
