Following SOPs amid battling Covid-19: Private schools to open next month

ZHOB: Members core committee Private Schools Association Abdul Ghafoor Mandokhail, Qutab Fidai, Juma Rahim Mandokhail, Hassan Tuniwal, Sardar Khan Sadat, Faiz Muhammad Sherani, Sadiq Mandokhail, Anwer Gul Bangash, Ch Afzal, Molvi Sultan Wali, Khalid Taj, Noor-ul-Amin Gandapur and Sada Muhammad, while addressing a press conference said that Zhob district falls in winter zone and we have little for the teaching during the current academic year.

The private sector education institutions have been close sine last November due to winter vacations and now following the spread of Covid-19 across the province.

“Our educational system is badly affected and deteriorated due to the closure of schools across the district,” adding those who are associated with private school including teaching staff and school management facing financial constraint for the last three months.

Move over, the survival of private educational institutions is threaten as all private schools are in rented accommodations. They also condemned the ‘anti-education’ policies and indifferent attitude of the government and demanded an end to the discriminatory practices with the private educational institutions.

“The government is not serious in addressing the problems of private schools, as the government has limited the lockdown to educational institutions instead of bazaars, markets and crowded places,” they lamented.

“Opposing the government decision and rejecting the non-consultation notification of closure of all educational institutions due to the coronavirus pandemic, we have unanimously decided to open all private schools on June 1st in the district,” they said. They asked the parents to arrange books and uniform for the students and contact their respective school management for admissions and fees submission.
