Former LB system abolished since enforcement of new system: Raja Basharat

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Raja Basharat has said that the former local bodies system has been abolished since the enforcement of the new system across the province.

Talking to the media in Lahore on Sunday, he said notification has been issued for the administrators under the new system.

Raja Basharat said that a transition plan will be chalked out for the transfer of offices, staff and arrears.

He said that the divisional and district transition teams led by the concerned commissioners and deputy commissioners will ensure the accomplishment of the task of transition as early as possible.
