Former military doctor shot dead in Parwan

PARWAN (Khaama Press): Former military doctor Shabir Shirzad who served former Afghan intelligence agency, was shot dead by Taliban forces in Northern Parwan province, local sources confirmed.
A former military doctor, aged 32, while he was heading to the capital city of Kabul, Taliban took him out of his vehicle and shot him in Ghorband district; his brother has confirmed the incident in a tweet.
His brother, Sameer Shirzad, said that he had been living in foreign and recently returned to Afghanistan to participate in the funeral ceremony of his slain uncle.
He also added that Mullah Jan Agha, a local Taliban commander in the district, had murdered his brother.
Doctor Shirzad was a medical degree from medical science, Afghanistan and a master’s degree in criminology from Turkey university.
Before the regime changed in Afghanistan, he had served at the National Directorate of the security health department, a former intelligence agency of Afghanistan.
The Taliban authorities have yet to comment on the incident.
