Former MNA Haider Ali joins PTI

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Another PTI leader has parted his ways with party Chairman Imran Khan as more and more PTI leaders dissociate themselves from the party following an outrage over acts of violence witnessed on May 9 after the arrest of Imran Khan.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Thursday along with PPP’s Faisal Karim Kundi, Dr. Haider Ali, a former member of the National Assembly (MNA) belonging to the PTI, announced quitting the party and joining the PPP.

Welcoming Haider in the PPP, Kundi said that Imran had always lied to the nation.

The former PTI MNA reportedly had held two meetings with the Pakistan People’s Party leadership.

Haider, who had been elected MNA from Swat-II in the general elections of 2018 by securing 61,687 votes, remained an MNA until January 2023.
