Foundation stone of Accounts Office laid down

MARDAN: Provincial Minister for Finance Muzafar Said advocate laid down foundation stone of the building of District Accounts Office which was scheduled to be completed within one-year.

On the occasion, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf law-maker Ubaid Khan Mayar, District Nazim Himayat Ullah Mayar advocate, Accountant General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Arbab Sher Bahadar Khan and Director of Finance department Nusrullah Khan and other relevant officials were among the attendance.

Addressing after laying the foundation stone, the provincial finance minister said that the new building of district account office would be completed with the total cost of Rs. 92.738 million. He claimed that maximum facilities would be available in the new accounts building which would definitely reduce problems of residents of Mardan district. He said that the incumbent provincial government was committed to take steps for resolution of problems of people.

He also claimed that their KP provincial government had carried out matchless reforms in various provincial departments including finance for welfare of the residents of province. “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the only province in the entire country where pension-holders have been getting their pension through bank accounts,” he claimed, adding that the finance department had also introduced Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Internal Audit Policy.

Along with the reforms in government departments and organization, he also stressed for getting more and more education as he was of the opinion rapid progress and development was impossible without education. Other key participants also addressed on the occasion and expressed their views regarding resolution of problems of residents of the province.
