Four children die of measles in Lasbela

LASBELA: Four children died as a result of the measles outbreak while dozens others fell sick in Lasbela district, on Monday.

 

The ages of the dead children are said to be between eight to ten years.

 

The measles outbreak has spread in Union Council Shehkar Sheikh area of Lasbela, due to which dozens of children are being hospitalized in serious condition.

 

On the other side, DC Lasbela Murad Khan Kasi said that the health teams have been dispatched to the affected areas to control the measles outbreak.

 

He added that dozens of children have been suffering from the outbreak of measles while more than 30 children have been vaccinated so far.

 

“According to local people, four children have died due to measles outbreak,” said DC Lasbela Murad Khan Kasi.
