Four FC personnel Martyred in blast

QUETTA: At least four personnel of Frontier Corps (FC) were martyred and seven other injured in a suicide blast at FC and Levies Force Check Post at Khoni Talab near Nusaar area of Quetta on Wednesday evening.

According to Levies sources, the FC personnel were on their duties at Check Post, when an unknown suicide bomber blew himself at Khoni Talab area.

As a result, four Frontier Corps (FC) personnel died on the spot while seven other sustained serious injuries.

The bodies and the injured were rushed to Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

The martyred personnel were identified as Muhammad Rashid, Muhammad Aamir, Muhammad Imran and Javaid Ahmed.

Law enforcement agencies reached the site and cordoned of the entire area and started investigation.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack, which is the latest in a string of ambushes on security forces. The attack took place hours after gunmen ambushed a police vehicle in a busy Quetta street killing two policemen.
