Four killed, 15 injured in gas explosion at Iranian guesthouse

TEHRAN: At least four persons died and 15 others were injured in an explosion in a guesthouse near the Fatine Masumeh shrine in Qom city of Iran on Thursday.

The local media reported that most of the injured or deceased pilgrims were from Iraq and the incident was happened when the pilgrims were cooking on the gas canister however the Fire brigade department told that the reason behind the blast is still being investigated.

According to last reports some of the bodied and injured people may be still under the rubble of the building.

The shrine in Qom, which is approximately 150 kilometers south of the capital, Tehran, is the second-most sacred spot in Iran for pilgrims.
