BADAKHSHAN: Afghan Ministry of Defense (MoD) claimed that at least four militants were killed and two others were injured in airstrikes conducted in Badakhshan province of Afghanistan.
MoD officials informed the Afghan media that a series of airstrikes were carried out on the hideouts of the anti-government armed militants in Tashkan district of Badakhshan.
The airstrikes also resulted into the destruction of two hideouts of the militants, MoD added.
The anti-government armed militant groups including Taliban insurgents have not commented regarding the report so far.
This comes as counter-terrorism operations involving air and ground operations are underway in various provinces of the country.
