SWABI: Four of family members were killed and two injured when the mud house of a poverty-stricken farmer caved-in in a far-flung village at night in the Yar Hussain region, Tehsil Razaar, Said police and other officials who visited the collapsed house. The incident was occurred in Sodher area, situated in the jurisdiction of Yar Hussain police station.
Sarfraz Khan, the poor farmer who injured in the roof collapsed told media persons in the hospital that when he returned home late night and his kids were sleeping. Three of them who uncovered were cover with the quilt but he was not aware that was his lost connection with them. He said that the recent four days excessive rain had weakened the mud walls and roof of the house but they were not expected that the house was turned for feeble that it would suddenly collapsed.
Narrating the gory incident, he said that when roof of the house caved -in, they started crying which alert the neighbours who rushed for the recuse work while wakening the other and appealing them to immediately reach for the help. The people extracted the dead bodies from mud debris and the rescue team. The local police had also reached to the trouble, participate in the rescue work.
The four injured have been shifted top Bacha Medical Complex Shahmansoor where the doctors said that they were in serious condition. The killed were identified: Sarfaraz’s wife, his 12-year-old son Abdullah, 11-year-old daughter, Marwa Sarfaraz and one and half year old Manoor Sarfaraz. The six-year-old Danish Sarfarz and Sarfaraz himself have been injured.
Meanwhile, one person was killed in Batakara village on Monday, said police. Registering an FIR in Topi city police said said that his brother, Faisal Zaman and Syed Khan had exchanged hot words a day’s back and later Mr Syed allegedly succumbed to injuries in the hospital. The police have registered FIR and started investigations.
