Four of a family killed over marriage dispute in Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR: Four members of a family were shot dead over a marriage dispute in Bahawalpur’s Inhar Colony on Sunday.

According to police, four people including a woman were gunned down by assailants who stormed the house and fled after killing them.

Police further said that a man identified as Rashid had married a woman named Aisha. The couple were living somewhere else, which allegedly led to provocation in the girl’s family and resulted in the four people being killed.

The police have identified the deceased as the groom, his brother, sister-in-law and uncle.
