ISLAMABAD: Only Four Pakistani universities managed to capture place in the top 1000 universities ranking the world as Times Higher Education issued its 14th annual edition of World University Rankings.
The latest rankings show and reflect the downgrade from the previous year ranking in which seven universities were among featured among the top 1000 rankings.
Qauid-i-Azam University is one of the four universities which were featuring in the top 500 an improved its position from the last year in the ranking. The other three universities are including COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in the 601-800, and the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad in the 801+ group.
Pakistan is looking far behind comparing to its neighbors where 60 universities of China, 30 from India and 11 universities of Iran appeared in the rankings.
