Four policemen killed in Kandahar attack

KANDAHAR: The security officials confirmed that at least four policemen were killed and three others were injured after insurgents attacked a police base in Kandahar province on Wednesday night.

Kandahar police chief, Gen. Abdul Raziq said that the militants attack started about 8.30pm and they attack the police headquarters in Spin Boldak district of the province.

He added that first a suicide car bomber detonated his explosive close to the police base and then two other attackers stormed the police compound and clashed with the security forces.

Raziq claimed that two attackers were killed and the clash lasted for two and half hours.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
