Four school teachers fined over absentees

LAKKI MARWAT: Four schoolteachers faced deduction of salaries for absenting from duty on Thursday. The teachers were found missing from schools during surprise visits by district education officer Abdus Salam. The visits were arranged following public complaints about missing of teachers from schools.

The primary schoolteachers facing action included Muhammad Minhaj, Sarwar Jan and Aasim Jan posted at government Primary School located in Warghar locality of Darra Pezu town.

The headmaster of Government Middle School Warghar Pir Sanaullah was also found absent from duty during surprise visit. The District education officer ordered deputy DEO to deduct one day salary of absent school’s boos and initiate disciplinary action against him. He warned that the teachers absenting from duty would face stern departmental action. He reiterated that cent percent attendance of teaching and non teaching staff would be ensured in state run schools.
