Four Taliban commanders killed during clashes in Faryab

KABUL: At least 18 Taliban militants including four key commanders of the group were killed or wounded during the clashes with the Afghan armed forces in northern Faryab province.

The 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan military in a statement said at least 11 Taliban militants were killed and 7 others were wounded during the latest clashes which took place in the past 12 hours in Dawlatabad, Khwaja Sabzposh, and Qaisar districts.

The statement further added that four key commanders of the group identified as Mullah Abdullah, Qari Gulbuddin, Qari Mohammadullah, and Mullah Zareef are among those killed.

The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the clashes and casualties inflicted on militants of the group so far. (Khaama Press)
