Friendly environment being ensured for tourism in GB

ASTORE: The Home Department of Gilgit Baltistan is taking effective measures to ensure congenial and friendly environment to promote tourism in the area. As part of such efforts, the department issued a notification the other day, wrapping up several check posts including Uchang, Haldi and Machlo in Ghanjay district and decided to open up area for tourists up to five kilometers away from the Line of Control (LOC).

The check posts would be set up at Thamos and Siksa in Chorbut sub division and movement of tourists would be restricted beyond Ghor Kondo Garam Chashma. Meanwhile, people have appreciated the government for taking such popular steps, saying it would not only promote tourism but also give impetus to trade and economic activities in the area.
