Frontier Corps held free medical camp
ZHOB: Frontier Corps Balochistan (Zhob Militia) held a day-long free medical camp in mountainous area Manzaki – close to Pak-Afghan border area here.
As a goodwill gesture to provide health services to poor and marginalized communities at their doorstep, Zhob Militia set up a free medical camp in remote Manzaki Qamar Din area of the district, where majority of the people do not have access to health services.
“On the special directives of Inspector General Frontier Corps Major General Fayyaz Hussain Shah, supervised by newly appointed Commandant Zhob Militia Col Umer Farooq, FC Medical Wing organized a free medical camp, where hundreds of poor and deserving patients were treated free of cost.
FC medical team examined 856 patients including male, female and children suffering from various diseases and provided them with free medicines. The under five children were also administered anti-polio drops and vitamin A.
FC officials visited the camp and inspected the facilities provided to the people. Gift were also distributed among the children.
“Free medical camp in an area that lacks basic facilities would not only ensure health care to the area people at their doorstep but would also overcome health issues and control several chronic and seasonal diseases,” adding that keeping in mind efforts were underway to ensure provision of health and education facilities to the people in the hilly areas and all possible measures would be taken for the purpose. Commandant Col Umer Farooq vowed.
