Gabol loses cool after reporter questions connections with MQM founder

KARACHI (NNI): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Nabeel Gabol lost his cool over Dunya News reporter’s question about his alleged connections with Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder during Lyari operation.

During a press conference, when Nabeel Gabol was asked by Dunya News reporter Munawar Alam about his alleged close ties with MQM founder, Gabol flared up and threatened Alam for extreme results.

After the incident, other journalists protested against Nabeel Gabol’s harsh reaction and asked him to apologize. However, Gabol refused to apologize. PPP provincial minister Nisar Khoro, who was also present at the occasion, diffused the situation by apologizing to the reporter on Gabol’s behalf.

He said that he will talk some sense into Gabol. However, journalists kept on protesting Gabol’s snub. Later, other senior PPP leaders and journalists intervened and talked to Nabeel Gabol. Only then Gabol came out and hugged Munawar Alam.

He told him to forget whatever happened earlier today. He said that certain people want us to fight but they won’t. He went on to call Munawar Alam his younger brother.
