JALALABAD (Pajhwok): President Muhammad Ashraf Ghani on Monday promised to visit eastern Nangarhar province and seek solution to problems here, the governor said.
Nangarhar Governor Mohammad Gulab Mangal, called to the Presidential Palace in Kabul, presented a report detailing the security, government performance and upcoming plans to the president, said Attaullah Khogyani, Mangal’s spokesman.
The governor also shared some proposals with the president particularly about the general security situation and development activities.
The president during his talks said he would be visiting Nangarhar province at the head of a high level delegation in near future to announce some special and important programs.
The president was expected to announce projects like hydro power dams and especially announcing solar energy projects and the launch of work on the ring road and other major roads.
Other projects to be announced include facilities for industrialists at the industrial park and taking practical steps to provide basic amenities of life, particularly shelter for the returning and displaced families, according to Khogyani.
The president also authorized the governor to expedite his administrative affairs and resolve most of the issues inside the province.
