Gold price witnesses slight decrease

KARACHI: The price of gold Wednesday witnessed a slight decrease, despite the rupee continuing to lose ground against the greenback.

The price of 24-carat gold dropped by Rs400 per tola.

With this decrease of the gold, the price of 24-carat gold reached Rs143,200.

The price of 10-gram gold of 24-carat has also been decreased by Rs343 to reach Rs122,771.

The price of 10-gram gold of 22-carat has also dropped to reach Rs112,540.

The price of 24-carat and 10-gram silver remained stable by Rs1590 and Rs1363.16, respectively.

In the international market, the price of gold per ounce has also declined by $6.

The international rate for the gold per ounce has now reached $1852.
