RAWALPINDI: The prices of gold in Pakistan have reached record highs, following the trend of the international market.
One tola of pure gold of 24 karats has seen a price increase of Rs3,400 to Rs2,39,800, marking the highest price in the Pakistani gold market’s history. The price of 10 grams of pure gold of 24 karats has also risen by Rs2,915 to Rs2,05,590 per 10 grams.
The price of 22 karats of gold, commonly used for jewelry making in Pakistan, has also increased and is now trading at Rs1,88,457 per 10 grams.
In the international market, the price of gold increased by US$7 per ounce to US$1,945 per ounce on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the price of pure silver of 24 karats increased by Rs50 to Rs2,900 per tola while the price of 10 grams silver increased by Rs42.87 to Rs2486.28 per 10 grams. (NNI)
