Government committed to follow law under constitution: Amir Muqam

PESHAWAR (APP): Federal Minister for SAFRON and Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan Affairs Engineer Amir Muqam on Wednesday said that his party believes in and follows the law and rules under the constitution.

He said this while addressing the swearing-in ceremony of the Matta Bar Council Association in Swat.

Party leaders, district officials, and members of the legal fraternity also attended in large numbers.

Amir Muqam emphasized the need for lawyers to work towards upholding the supremacy of law and the constitution, rather than being swayed by individual interests.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to upholding the independence of the judiciary and urged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to prioritize the issues of the province’s people over personal agendas.

Muqam urged the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to focus on improving the lives of the province’s people rather than engaging in power struggles in Islamabad.

He expressed confidence in the strength of the central government and assured that over the next five years, Pakistan would gain control over its issues.

Muqam highlighted the importance of collaboration between institutions and governments solely for the resolution of Pakistan’s issues.

He praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his tireless efforts day and night.

Minister Amir Muqam commended Army Chief General Asim Munir’s role in attracting investment from around the world for the first time in Pakistan.

He stated that he had always served the nation impartially, regardless of the electoral mandate.

Muqam emphasized that he stood with the nation in every difficulty, whether it be floods, earthquakes, or terrorism.

Lastly, Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam announced a grant of Rs 2 million for the Bar Council’s activities.
