Government to fulfill promises made to tribesmen: CM Mahmood

BARA: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Mehmood Khan has said that the incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has reiterated that they would materialize the promise made to the tribesmen at the time of merging of provision of 120 billion rupees to the merged districts. Under the 26 Amendment the ex-Fata region has been declared free tax zone.

Talking to the media persons on his visit to Bara CM Mehmood Khan said that with spending of 120 billion rupees annually in the merged region would develop infra-structure of the region and in the last two budget 65 billion rupees had been provided to the merged districts. “Khasadar force of all ex-tribal districts will be soon merged in police force and in this connection a proper procedure has been in progressed”, CM said.

As per vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the government was leaving no stone unturned to work for the uplift of the merged districts. He assured that the media person of Khyber district, affected in the militancy would be facilitated.

Meanwhile the CM, Mehmood Khan flanked Member National Assembly IqbalAfridi and Member Provincial Assembly ShafiqAfridi administered oath to the newly elected office bearers of Bara press club. Later on CM, Mehmood Khan inaugurated ground breaking work on 42 kilometers Mustaq road that would be completed with expenses of 62 billion rupees within two years. More than 0.1 million population of Tirah valley would be benefited of the project.

Prior, the concerned officials briefed him on the occasion. He also opened sophisticated Rescue 1122 station, established in Bara beside inauguration of Municipal Corporation Complex, Bara bazaar. The smart contingents of the center present him salute on his visit. Separately, CM Mehmood Khan paid a brief visit to Jamrud and opened 1122 Rescue center.
