Govt ask to bring stranded Pakistanis back to country

LANDI KOTAL: Prominent tribal elder and leader of Awami National Party, Malik Darya Khan demanded of the incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to formulate forthwith initiatives to bring back the Pakistan citizen, stuck in Afghanistan for the last three weeks.

Addressing to a press conference held here in Landi Kotal press club on Wednesday Malik Darya Khan said that the district administration of Khyber had completed all preparation to receive the trapped Pakistan nationals via Torkham border but for unknown reasons the government delay tactics that created panic among the trapped ones. He said that relatives of hundreds of local transporters, labors and traders etc.had trapped in Afghanistan for the last one month worried about their dear and near ones in the challenging situation, prevailed after spread of COVID 19 across the world and wanted to let their family members to cross the border to their native country.

Dozens of the stranded Pakistanis waiting under an open sky for days on the Afghanistan side of Torkham border, Malik Darya Khan said and adding the trapped people should bring them back immediately and deal them as per Standard Operation Procedure formulated for control of coronavirus. The tribal elder vowed would utilize all forums to raise voice for the right of the trapped people and asked the authorities concerned to take steps to to take back the stuck Pakistani to their country.
