Govt bans cell phone use in KP’s hospitals

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has banned the use of cellphones in labour rooms of gynae wards and in occupational therapy (OT) wards in all public and private hospitals across the province, on Wednesday.

The health department has issued a notification and banned the use of electronic devices in various wards of all government and private hospitals.  It has been notified that use of mobile phones is banned in the labour rooms of gynae wards.

The KP health department announced use of mobile phones or other electronic items will be completely banned.
