Govt committed to protect human rights: Law Minister

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar met Canadian High Commissioner Leslie Scanlon in Islamabad today.

They discussed matters pertaining to Human Rights Commission and policies regarding minorities.

The Minister said government is committed to protect and uphold human rights.

He said national development is topmost priority of the government.

Azam Nazeer Tarar said both opposition and government are integral part of the democratic system.

He said measures are being taken at the government level for environmental sustainability.
