Govt committed to resolve problems of AJK people

MUZAFFARABD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President, Sardar Masood Khan has said the government was paying special attention to public welfare projects to make Rawalakot and other areas of AJK centre of tourist-attraction.

He was talking to prominent social figure of Rawalakot and leader of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Haji Rashid Khan who called on him here on Friday. The Government is planning to build Khaigala – Tolipeer – Lasdana Road which is now in its final stage. The road upon completion would not only facilitate people but would also connect Tolipeer and Lasdana with Rawalakot and other cities of Azad Kashmir, he said.

Terming Khaigala – Tolipeer – Lasdana Road a project of vital importance, the President said road would help connect people of remote areas with Rawalakot and other parts of the state, he added it would help improve the tourism related infrastructure, decrease poverty level and improve living standard of people. Later Registrar of Mirpur University of Science and Technology, Muhammad Waris Jaral called on President and discussed problems being faced by law department of the varsity due to non-issuance of NOC by Pakistan Bar Council.
