Govt extends Rangers’ special powers for 90 days across Sindh

KARACHI: The Sindh government has extended the special powers of the Rangers in all across the province including Karachi for 90 days.

Summary regarding the extension to the Rangers’ special authority was sent to the Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah from the Home Ministry, which was approved.

The Rangers had been given powers under Section-5 of the Anti Terrorism Act, 1997 according to which Rangers were authorised to conduct a raid and arrest accused.
