Govt has failed to sway terrorists, claims Bilawal

F.P. Report

KARACHI: Politician Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has claimed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led Government has failed to control the terrorists from executing their terror bids across the country.

Expressing his thoughts on the recent bus attack at Markan coastal highway, the PPP chairman condemned the killings of 14 passengers.

In his statement, Bilawal lashed out at the current government, adding that the terror attack once again claimed lives of innocents inside Balochistan’s territory.

He demanded the government to bring the masterminds behind these terror attacks under the grip of the law. Unknown armed assailants on Wednesday night killed 14 people who were passengers, travelling on the Markan coastal highway in Gwadar district. According to security sources, the assailants halted path of all the buses either heading for or leaving Gwadar and offloaded all the passengers. Sources added that the unidentified gunmen checked the National Identity Cards (NICs) of all the passengers before shooting them to death at point-blank range and fleeing the scene without being caught.

Meanwhile, Reacting on the development of stepping down by Asad Umar as finance minister, Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Thursday congratulated the nation and hoped that this will bring positive change in economy. Talking to the newsmen, the PPP leader said, since this government has come into the power, the people of Pakistan have drowned in a tsunami of inflation.” Bilawal claimed that the government had accepted that its economic policies failed badly and they could not provide any relief to the people of Pakistan.

He further added that other ministers who have links with banned organizations will also be dismissed soon.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Asad Umar had announced  to step down from his post as finance minister.

Taking on Twitter, Asad Umar broke the news by saying, “As part of a cabinet reshuffle PM desired that I take the energy minister portfolio instead of finance.”

It may be noted that ARY News had already reported on Monday that Prime Minister Imran Khan was mulling over reshuffling his cabinet in light of the performance of federal ministers, including Finance Minister Asad Umar.
