Govt implementing long-term programme to put economy on right path: Firdous

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that incumbent government is implementing a long term programme to put national economy on the right path.

Talking to newsmen in Lahore on Saturday, she said that shelter homes are being constructed for the homeless people according to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said the past rulers gave priority only to their children and served their personal interests.

She said the menace of corruption has swallowed everything in the country.

The Special Assistant said Prime Minister is well aware of the problems of the people who sleep on the roads under an open sky.

Meanwhile, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has regretted that the opposition parties are hatching conspiracies against the government during holy month of Ramazan.

In a tweet, she said hatching conspiracy against democratically elected government in the name of Iftar during the sacred month is regretful.

She said whatsoever the opposition is facing, is the consequence of their ill-intentions.

Dr Firdous said unfortunately, those who created problems for people in the past are now busy in protecting their personal, political and business interests in the name of Iftar parties.
