Govt should pay attention on all sectors equally for real development, says ICCI President

Islamabad: Sheikh Amir Waheed, the President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) stated that the government should pay attention on all sectors uniformly for the real development and prosperity of the country.

“Along with giving incentives to different sectors government should formulate a permanent and a superb policy for them’ he stated this in an interview with “Online” on Saturday.  Excellent

Answering a question regarding the budget deficit he stated that government could overcome the budget deficit by making major development in information technology sector. He stated that we only makes short-term planning instead of long-term planning but on the other side China is acting upon on the long-term planning.

Responding a question of forthcoming financial budget 2018-19 he stated that budget prepares by analyzing income and resources but for past five the government has taken large scale borrow that is burden on country economy. It is essential to plane first and then take loan so that it could return easily, he reiterated.

Answering a query regarding what challenges face by the country, the Sheikh Amir Waheed stated that this is the election year and promises made by the leaders should be fulfilled.

He stated we have to make proper planning regarding how to counter the need of water for next five year. He said that government should low the taxes because businessmen grilled a most.  Answering a question he stated that equal policy should be developed for taxes of all the sectors.

“We import cooking oil worth of three billion dollars as government should work for the growth of oil seeds” he added. Answering a question regarding to provide incentives to the overseas Pakistanis he stated that incentives should be given to overseas Pakistanis. He ICCI is working on research and development and making it stronger. ‘We are starving hard to complete the export display centre as soon as possible’ he added.
