Govt present in country, but not in field: Siraj

ISLAMABAD: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Senator Sirajul Haq has said that formally government is present in country but it is not present in the field. He said that from last 12 days the lockdown is going on in country but so far government has not become able to provide the food to the poor people in homes. He said that prime minister is unaware about the ground realities.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan prior to making appeal for charity should first spend the announced amount of Rs 1200 billion honestly. He said that the petroleum prices should be decreased according to the international market prices.

This Senator Sirajul Haq said while addressing a press conference after reviewing the relief activities of Jamaat-e-Islami and Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan in Islamabad. Naib Ameer JI Mian Muhammad Aslam, JI North Punjab Ameer Dr. Tariq Saleem, JI District Ameer Nasrullah Randhawa and traders’ leader Kashif Chaudhry were also present on the occasion.

Senator Sirajul Haq said that there is problem of wheat growers and they are also waiting for help, adding that interest should be waived off on the loans. He said that the real force are the state institutions, adding that whether current government while forming tiger force is encouraging that any party could form force. He said that so far we have distributed Rs 400 million dried ration in homes, adding that so far five thousand Al-Khidmat Committees have been formed in country. He said that six thousand mosques were cleaned and were sprayed.

He said that our workers are also spraying in temples, churches and jails, adding that our over 22 hospitals and 300 ambulances are working. Sirajul Haq said that opposition extended cooperation while moving forward but so far government is not coming out of egoism. He said that Pakistani embassies and diplomatic staff are not in contact of Pakistanis and their telephones are also not being attended, adding that the notice of the matter should be taken.

Senator Sirajul Haq said that he condemns the insult of the Tableeghi Jamaat workers by administration, adding that the people of Tableeghi Jamaat were arrested in insulting manner. He said that whole humanity is passing through testing time, adding that the coronavirus pandemic is not limited to any area or country. He said that this virus has knocked every door, adding that there is threat for every human being. He said that the big countries have closed their borders and closed the airports and all the passages have been closed. He said that human isolation has become the common principle.
