Grand jirga held at Parachinar

Parachinar (Kurram Agency): A grand  jirga  attended by Mashrans / notables of both  Ahel e Tashih (AeT) and Ahel e Sunnat (AeS) of Kurram agency was held today at Parachinar. The Jirga was presided over  by GOC Maj Gen Azhar Abbasi.

It was a milestone Day in the history  of Kurram Agency  when Sunni TDPs from Parachinar  City  settled all over the country  were rehabilitated and reintegrated in society.In the landmark event, Ahel eTashi  Masharans welcomed Sunni counterparts wholeheartedly and while addressing Notables of both sects apreciated  Army’s resolve for maintenance  of peace and harmony in the Agency.After the Jirga,  newly reconstructed shops of Sunni TDPs in Usmania Market Parachinar, destroyed during the crisis of 2007 and renovated by Pak army recently were inaugurated by  Maj Gen  Azher Abbasi  and keys handed over to the owners. Attendees of both  the sects offered  Duaa-e-Kher at Sunni Masjid for the longevity of peace and prosperity in  the Agency. Thereafter, participants visited Ali Trust managed by Ahel e Tashi.
