Grape harvest doubled in Takhar this year

TALEQAN (Agencies): Officials in the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of Takhar report an increase in grape harvest this year compared to last year in that province.
Mawlawi Rahimullah Ahadi, head of agriculture, irrigation, and livestock of Takhar said that about 94,500 tons of grapes will be harvested in the center and districts of this province this year.
The center of Takhar and the districts of Chah Ab, Rastaq, and Dasht Qala are the areas that have the highest grape yields due to the favorable climate.
Meanwhile, a number of grape growers expressed their satisfaction with the increase in their yields this year compared to last year and they want the government to provide them with a suitable market.
Every year in Takhar during the grape harvest season, due to the lack of cold storage and proper market, the price of grapes reaches the lowest level and causes losses to grape growers.
