Gul-e-Dawoodi exhibition starts in Malakand Varsity

TIMERGARA: The University of Malakand (UoM) organized a week long 6th annual exhibition of Gul-e-Dawoodi at the main campus Chakdara.

The vice chancellor Prof Dr Gul Zaman inaugurated the exhibition along with some of the disabled students of the varsity during a function largely attended by faculty members, students, administration and special persons.

A total of 22 different kinds and colors of Gul e Dawoodi were displayed in the exhibition. Students and visitors showed keen interest in the exhibition.

Speaking on the occasion Prof Gul Zaman said that flowers were symbols of love, peace, brotherhood and affection. The VC asked the organizers to make the event successful and attractive. He invited parents and area elders to visit the exhibition that would last for a week. He said it was a difficult job to collect various varieties of Gul-e-Dawoodi, cultivate it and make it attractive. The VC appreciated the varsity staff and gardeners for their efforts to promote Gul e Dwoodi in the area. He awarded cash prizes to the gardeners and certificates to other organizers. He also announced to exempt all disable students of their tuition fees in order to provide them cheap education.
