HABIBMETRO Bank distributes sewing machines

KARACHI: HABIBMETRO Bank celebrated Women’s Day 2020 by giving sewing machines to 100 underprivileged women from Korangi and Orangi, in Karachi. The Bank conducted this CSR activity in collaboration with APWA.

The Governor Sindh was present as the Chief Guest in the distribution ceremony held at APWA’s premises in Karachi. The Governor expressed appreciation for the efforts of APWA and the support extended by HABIBMETRO Bank for this initiative.

Speaking at the event, a spokesperson of HABIBMETRO Bank commented, ‘HABIBMETRO and the House of Habib are strongly committed to the educational and financial empowerment of women in Pakistan and provide support to female beneficiaries at various educational institutes. Through this collaboration with the APWA we aim to enhance financial independence of women who aspire to benefit their families by doing skilled work.’
