F.P. Report
KARACHI: Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif has said that Pakistan delivered a strong message to United States to change its approach for the south Asia region as it was fighting in the Afghanistan from the past 16 years without getting positive results from it.
Khawaja Asif said this while giving interview to a private channel. He said that government wants to inform the world about the sacrifices that Pakistan rendered in the fight against terrorism and that too with its own resources.
Regarding his recent visits to China, Iran and Turkey, Asif said that these are friends of Pakistan and we held talks on Afghanistan and other bilateral issues with these countries.
Both China and Iran showed concerned over the new US policy for South Asia and they backed the Pakistan stance over the Afghan conflict to solve it through dialogues, he added.
Khawaja Asif claimed that Haqqani Network were operating from eastern Afghanistan and now its Afghanistan and America responsibility to take action against them and stop blaming Pakistan for their failure.
