TEHRAN (DID PRESS AGENCY): Mohammad Umar Daudzai, the head of Afghan high peace council (HPC) secretariat at the head of a delegation arrived in Tehran on Saturday.
Sayed Ehsan Taheri, a spokesman to the HPC told reporters that Mr Daudzai will meet the Iranian foreign minister, head of national security council and other Iranian officials during his visit from Iran.
According to him, the trip is aimed to get the Iranian officials’ support from the peace process in Afghanistan.
The trip to Iran comes as US – Taliban talks in Doha ended after 16 days and the two sides just agreed in draft on two issues.
