Health professional allowance demanded

F.P. Report

PESHAWAR: Provincial Paramedical Association Class IV has demanded of government to provide them health professional allowance like approved for the 70% employees of health department. Briefing the media, Provincial President of the association said that health department has approved health professional allowance for seventy percent employees. He said refusing the allowance to thirty percent low-salary staff is unjust and has put them under continuous distress.

He said that Provincial Finance Minister also approved health professional allowance in a public gathering on November 22, 2016 adding it is regrettable that provincial government has not taken any concrete step in this connection so far.

He said that paramedical association cancelled their protest on the assurance of higher authorities that notification regarding provision of allowance would be issued on April 20 but despite passing of nine months nothing tangible was delivered by provincial government.

He also demanded to regularize fixed pay and institutional employees of MTIS hospitals and convert their CP fund into GP fund. He also threatened a protest on January 30 if demands of the association were not met.
