Islamabad : Higher Education Commission has awarded over 251,000 scholarships to students to promote higher education and research culture.
In a statement issued on Saturday, HEC said that over two hundred thousand students from 114 districts have benefited from Prime Minister’s Fee Reimbursement Scheme for Less Developed Areas.
HEC also launched Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship Programme for Afghan National Students under which 3,000 scholarships will be awarded to Afghan students.
HEC also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Turkey to avail scholarships for Pakistani youth to study in Turkish universities.
