HEC Squash team advanced to semis of national games

PESHAWAR: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) squash team reached the semi-finals of the ongoing national games by defeating Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Azad Kashmir.

The HEC team is participating in the National Games under the captaincy of Khushal Riaz Khan of University of Engineering and Technology, (UET) Peshawar, consisting of Uzair Rasheed from Lahore and Mutahir Ali and Jawad Khan from Peshawar.
While Zulfiqar Ali is the coach, and Shahram Changezi is performing the duties of the team manager.

The second match of the HEC squash team was against the Punjab squash team. This competition was also won by HEC by three zero. In which Khushal Riaz defeated Mehmood of Punjab, and Mutahir Ali defeated Khaqan Malik.

On the second day of the National Games, HEC’s squash team was first from Azad Kashmir, in which HEC played brilliantly and beat the competition by three to zero. Mutahir Ali defeated Hamid, and Jawad Khan defeated Dawar.

After three consecutive victories, the Higher Education Commission’s squash team has reached the semi-finals of the squash event of the National Games. On this occasion, HEC captain Khushal Riaz Khan said that his team is fully determined to win and will bring a medal for the Higher Education Commission and his university, The UET Peshawar.
