MUMBAI: Fans can rejoice. Actor Suniel Shetty lets out that the Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal franchise, Hera Pheri, which also features him, will be back to tickle the audiences’ funny bone.

Hera Pheri, which first released in 2000, is a cult comedy. The sequel to this much-loved film, Phir Hera Pheri, released in 2006 and was directed by the late NeerajVora. Ever since reports of Hera Pheri 3 being planned have been doing the rounds. However, nothing concrete has materialised on that front.

And now, in a recent interview, actor SunielShetty revealed that they are planning to make Hera Pheri 3. He said that talks are on with Priyadarshan (who directed the first part) for the third part and it should happen by the end of the year. He shared that there is a lot of discussion around the film and he is excited about it too. He also said that the audience loves and relates to the honesty, simplicity and struggle of the three characters. He candidly admitted he enjoyed Hera Pheri more than Phir Hera Pheri though both did fantastic business.

Apart from this, Suniel shared that he is open to doing roles that suit him in any industry. In the near future, he will be seen in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films as well.
