F.P. Report
ISLAMABAD: A high-level Palestinian delegation, led by the Chief Justice of Palestine Dr. Mahmoud Sedqi Abdul Rahman Al-Habash, arrived in Pakistan on Wednesday for a four-day official visit. The delegation also includes the Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Imam of Ibrahimi Mosque.
Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Special Representative to the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Secretary for Religious Affairs Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman, Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Zaheer, and other senior officials.
During the visit, the Palestinian delegation will participate in the World Seerah Conference and hold meetings with the President, Prime Minister, and other senior Pakistani leadership.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Justice of Palestine Dr. Mahmoud Sedqi Al-Habash expressed deep gratitude to Pakistan, describing it as a “second home” for Palestinians. He said the Palestinian nation highly values the stance of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the broader Islamic world on the Palestinian cause.
He added that the day is not far when, God willing, “we will gather in Al-Aqsa Mosque and perform two voluntary prayers of thanksgiving.” He also revealed that several countries are expected to recognise Palestine as an independent and sovereign state in September, while Israel is becoming increasingly isolated globally due to its ongoing oppression.
Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestine, declaring, “We consider Israel an illegitimate state, and Pakistan stands firmly with its Palestinian brothers in their struggle for an independent and sovereign homeland.” He also lauded the resilience of the Palestinian people, saluting their decades-long struggle for freedom.
