KARACHI: A high level meeting of the Sindh Police reviewed draft of recommendations for reforming Madrassah aco0ross Sindh province here on Wednesday.
According to handout of Sindh police, Inspector General of Police, Allah Dino Khowaja presided over meeting which assessed to introduce reforms in Madrassahs in the Southern Pakistani province.
Additional IG Counter Terrorism Department Sanullah Abbasi, Additional IG Special Branch Dr Wali Waliullah Dil, DIG Headquarters Sindh, DIG Finance, DIG Special Branch, DIG Operation Sindh, AIG Admin and AIG Legal attended the meeting.
IG Sindh directed police officers to finalize the recommendations for bringing Madrassah reforms so that final and comprehensive recommendation can be sent for approval.
The recommendations will make the establishment of Madrassah on government land subjected with prior approval of the Government of Sindh whereas Divisional Commissioner will issue permit for registration of Madaris. Deputy Commissioner will be responsible to verify the same.
Before issuing permit, the Madaris will have to provide details including sources of income and list of donors whereas the administrator must provide attested copy of the Computerized national Identity Card and Contact number. The Madaris will also be bound to provide details of syllabus as well.
The persons who are enlisted in fourth schedule will not be allowed to open religious seminaries.
The Madaris will be responsible for providing complete list of teachers and students with their details.
