MUMBAI: Saket Chaudhary’s Hindi Medium surprised everyone in 2017. The film was a hit and it also bagged the Filmfare Award for Best Film. Irrfan Khan’s work in the film won him his first Best Actor (popular) award at 63rd Jio Filmfare Awards as well.
The makers of the film have stated that Hindi Medium 2 will soon be made with Irrfan Khan as the lead again but director Saket Chaudhary will not be a part of the project. Homi Adajania will be seen directing the film under Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films.
Though the work on the sequel of the film has already started, Hindi Medium is still faring well at the box-office. The film was released in China nine days back and it has grossed over Rs 170 crores within such a short span of time.
Hindi Medium stars Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar in the lead and after becoming a hit in India, the film was released in China.
